National Qualification The aim of the national qualification is to enhance learners’ career and employability in the areas of business and administration by developing a critical awareness and appreciation of contemporary business issues. The qualification provides learners with an understanding of business and administration with a focus on to the functional areas of business administration such as management, operations, business resources, business communication, organizational structures and general office procedures. The holder of the qualification should demonstrate the depth of knowledge and skills required for supervising and coordinating the administrative work tasks of others. The unit standard includes team effectiveness, organizing meetings, and managing information and documents, planning and reviewing meetings, managing personal work priorities and representing the organization.
